To fully leverage the integrated advantages of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, the Central Government is reported to be planning on the concept of “Greater Bay Area Initiative” to link up all cities of these three regions into an integrated hub of developments. The systematic differences among the cities in the Greater Bay Area will differentiate the Greater Bay Area from other metropoles around the world. Some people may wonder “can ‘one country, multiple systems’ work for the Greater Bay Area?”. This seminar will facilitate a discussion forum which will shed light on the more critical issues at stake and may also help give us some answer by providing a perspective under the One-Country-Two-Systems framework which is being safeguarded by the Basic Law.
