Prof. Lan XUE is a Cheung Kong Chair Distinguished Professor and Dean of Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University. He is also the Dean of School of Public Policy & Management of Tsinghua University. His teaching and research interests include public policy analysis, STI policy, crisis management, and global governance. He has published extensively in these areas.
Prof. Xue is also an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow of Brookings Institution. His public service appointments include the convener of the State Council Disciplinary Review Committee for Public Management, Vice President of China Association of Public Administration, member of the National Committee for Strategic Consultation and Comprehensive Review, member of State Council Expert Committee on Emergency Management, and member of National Expert Committee for the 13th Fiver-Year Plan, and etc. He also serves as a member of OECD Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Advisory Group, a member of United Nations University Council (UNU). Since 2012, he has been the Co-Chair of the Leadership Council of the Sustainable Development Solution Network (SDSN). He is a recipient of the Fudan Distinguished Contribution Award for Management Science
